Depleted. Fatigued. Doing impressions of cats jumping face first into bean bags. Rinse. Repeat. This has been me for the past week or so.
Energised. Vibrant. Happy. Also me lately.
The former required some serious addressing lately. I could feel it in my eyeballs as they ached from screen time and reading time. A pleading to rest. A pleading to not beat myself up every.single.time I forget to take care of me first.
The latter has been so juicy and so needed. Deliciously sweet energy, vibrancy within and all around. Happy. Truly Happy about coming into alignment with my needs and desires.
Movement, walking our pooch Harry in the morning & time at the gym has given my mind and body precious time to nourish, sweat and up the feel good hormones.
Last week, I had a little list of to do's. Kept it simple. Kept it spacious. Kept to self-awareness. Alongside my 3 little actions I declared the week and the rest of the month, a time for self-care. Honouring Fierce Devotion.
How often do you stubbornly refuse to take care of yourself because you are too busy loving, serving, helping, encouraging, supporting and replenishing others? How often do we tell ourselves and everyone around us that we simply DO NOT have time to take care of ourselves?
What is sovereign about that? What is Divinely Feminine about that? When was the last time you actually took a sacred pause, responded to your sacred yes and said YES to yourself? It's time now to ascend from the old and tired patterns and give yourself some sweet love.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing how I'm implementing a spectacular self care regime to restore myself back to fullness. Small actions, lush product treats and checking in daily with what my mind, body and soul requires. You might be asking yourself, but why, it's only February?! There is no better time to begin or reinforce that self care is of paramount importance when we lead busy lives with responsibilities, careers, businesses, study and families. It starts with us and it has to start right now! I like many of you, have big plans for 2017 and one of the key intentions is to keep my head above water and not slip into old habits and patterns of behaviour which lead to fatigue. If there are going to be times of hustle, there is a requirement for a support structure that nurtures and replenishes us when we hustle too hard.
See you in a few days for the first instalment of Spectacular Self Care!
