This weekend I have been working on re-organising my art room so I can happily walk into my art room and create without cringeing, closing the door, walking out again with creative juices unsated. As you can see from the photos, I have a lot to do. The first 2 images is what the room looked like after I took the guest trundle bed and rug out. The other 2 are progress shots after moving my work table to the right corner, moving the printer to the right of my work table, tall bookshelf from one end of the room to the other to go next to my floating shelf bookshelf and swapping its location with my easel. The next job will be to move the low bookshelf full of novels to the wall behind where the easel is so the wire baskets will slot in nicely next to the left of my work table. After that (phew! or should that be #$%^! groan?) I will re-organise all my art supplies and store them in some desktop drawers that a friend kindly picked up from Ikea for me.
I should have done this ages ago, but now that I'm right into my etsy shop launch and market preparation, I need to set up work areas for each of my crafts - jewellery, leatherwork, painting and papergoods.
I cannot believe I decided to do a post on this, but I feel it necessary to share my messy life because the reality and fact is, I am no housewife - just a keen organisation procrastinator who is trying hard to lead a creative life!
